TIME TO SPRING CLEAN YOUR HOME AND BUSINESS

Winter is over. And here in Tennessee, there wasn't much of one. But, it's that time of year again to spring clean your house AND your business. Spring cleaning doesn't just involve cleaning under the tables and desks, it involves cleaning your inbox, website, image, message, contacts, and hardware devices.
Here are a few things you can do.
(1) Clean your e-mail inbox.
Remove junk and old e-mails! You will find your computer will run faster with less content on the hard drive and your e-mail workflow will be more productive.
Make folders for each client, vendor, and contact so you can file saved e-mails away. Then once a year, purge e-mails you do not need anymore.
(2) Update old content on your website.
Remove old information and replace it with up-to-date content.
Update your calendar with the current year's information.
Remove old employee names and contact information.
(3) Update the images and message on your printed materials and branding.
You don't need to update your branding every year. But, you can refresh come colors, content, photos, and your message. Your message may have been relevant last year. But, is it this year? Make sure your motto or slogan still makes sense.
(4) Clean out your desks.
Throw away old items.
File items you need to save.
(5) Update the contacts in your e-mail program and address book.
Don't you hate typing in someone's name in your e-mail program and seeing several old e-mail addresses pop up? Delete the old e-mail addresses.
Sync your smart phone with your address book and/or calendar in your computer. Let the two devices talk and keep your contacts updated.
(6) Clean the content on your server and hard drives
Don't let loose files hang out in folders they don't belong in.
Remove files from catchall places and place them in proper folders.
Remove old files you do not need.
